An early, say 1775/80 8 day oak cased clock, with asymmetrical steel hands and typical early raised gesso spandrels (see Tennant "The Art of the Painted Dial Clock" for similar early examples). The clock stands 7' 7" tall, including the gilded finial. Highly collectable.
